Hypertension Canada's Guidelines to Canadian physicians recommended "out of office" measurements, including a specific protocol for home monitoring, is to be used to confirm a diagnosis of hypertension, and rule out the possibility of white coat hypertension. This monitor has special software embedded to simplify the protocol process. In 7D mode, the monitor follows the measurement methodology exactly. Alarms remind the patient when to monitor and the results are saved in the memory for a medical professionals review. With the BP assessment indicator each reading is assessed to the Canadian classification for blood pressure which identifies home readings of ≥135/85 mmHg as hypertensive. This can help patients identify potential risks, and values can be discussed with the doctor.
